Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals(CILIP) launched National Libraries Day last year to celebrate libraries and reading. This year it will be taking place on Saturday 9th February. In 2012 over 400 events took place in libraries across the country, including author visits, live music performances, book clubs, family history days, stand up comedy and behind the scenes tours. National Libraries Day will highlight what people can do in their local library. During the week before National Libraries Day events and activities will take place in a variety of libraries "National Libraries Day activities will include encouraging people to join and use their library, and providing promotional materials and support so local communities can run events such as read-ins, poetry sessions and parties across the country. It is hoped that all sorts of libraries across the country will get involved including public libraries, in schools, colleges and Universities." [source] The focus will be on three key aspects of the event:
Love Libraries aims to gather all of these events together in one place - add your library's event here now! The planned day is being supported by the following organisations:

Using the logo ...
I love the badge at the top of this page, is it ok to use it for promotional purposes for the library service? I'm about to order badges to give out on Love Libraries Day...or can you tell me where I can get them from?

We would like to use the logo on our website and at our Love Libraries Open Day in October. Is this OK?
